This week we had our first official LOL Guest Presenters! Dr. Scott Adamson and Dr. April Ström joined us this week to share their course redesign for the unexpected move from face-to-face math classes to the Asynchronous Online Environment (AOE).

The video below is the full 1-hour presentation. If you prefer, you can also watch the presentation in segments:
  • Part 1 of 3: The Philosophy Behind the Redesign (approx. 13 minutes)
  • Part 2 of 3: Structuring Courses for the Asynchronous Online Environment (AOE) (approx. 21 minutes)
  • Part 3 of 3: The Asynchronous Online Environment (AOE) in Action (approx. 25 minutes)

RESOURCES:

  • Get your own copy of these selected slides from Scott & April's presentation: https://bit.ly/LOLScottandApril
  • Use the LOL Suggestion Box (https://bit.ly/LOLsuggestionbox) to share:
    • Topics you would like to see in future LOL sessions
    • Ideas you would be willing to share (we'd love to have anyone who is interested as a guest, or to have small groups with a common interest as a panel!)
    • Questions or comments you may have about LOL specifically, or about synchronous online teaching in general!
  • Remember, LOL will be held every Tuesday afternoon from 2:30-3:30 PM! The session room will open 15 minutes prior to start time. No registration necessary - just use this link to join: https://bit.ly/LiveOnlineLive
