INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
Instructional design is “the theory and practice of design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation of processes and resources for learning” (Reiser, 2002, p. 1). Instructional designers use research and practice to create cost- and time-effective instruction, learning resources, technology, and assessments. Instructional designers will work with with you to create effective courses and programs.
In support of the mission of CGCC, Instructional Design at the CTLA offers consultative services to support faculty in teaching, learning, and assessment best practices at CGCC. Consultations are a solution oriented discussion in which experts in instructional design assist faculty members in turning conceptual ideas into executable content.

ADVISING ON LEARNING STRATEGIES AND PRACTICES
Instructional Design at the CTLA has experts in a variety of educational and technology fields that are ready to advise you on learning and assessment strategies and practices. In-person, over-the-phone, or online consultations with instructional design are available to faculty and staff to support the college in our pursuit of excellence. You can work with these experts to make your ideas a reality and improve the learning experience for our students.
