We are approaching the halfway point of the semester - are your students still with you?
Having challenges with attendance? With keeping students engaged, either in the synchronous or asynchronous environment? Having trouble with students not responding the way you'd hoped they would on an assignment?
Earlier in the semester, I shared a few articles from Faculty Focus on the topic of academic integrity in the online environment. This week, I found 5 more awesome articles on keeping your students present, engaged, and on task, across multiple modalities:
  • Lack of Student Attendance: Feed Them Carrots, They Will Come | October 2019
  • Getting Students to Discuss by Channeling the Affective Domain | May 2020
  • Fostering Fun: Engaging Students with Asynchronous Online Learning | June 2020
  • Synchronous Strategies for the “New Normal”  | July 2020
  • When the Directions are the Problem | September 2020

Enjoy this interactive flip book of these 5 articles (note that the download icon below the flip book will also allow you to access the original PDF to keep for later use)!

I hope you enjoy these articles! For more useful teaching & learning resources, check out the other posts here on the CTLA blog.

DON'T FORGET - if you have other questions about Teaching, Learning, and/or Assessment, contact the CTLA!
