It's CGCC's "Week of Gratitude"!
How goes your quest for increased positivity?

According to this Forbes article, "7 Scientifically Proven Benefits of Gratitude," gratitude has a positive impact on developing new relationships, physical and mental health, empathy, self-esteem, and even helps you sleep better! Our students are really feeling the pressure right now (and let's face it, so are we...), so gratitude activities may help them regain their equilibrium.

Last Spring, I shared a post from the Positive Psychology website (February 2021), reviewing several gratitude apps - I did a quick search to see if there are new apps, but these appear to remain in the "favorites" lists that I was able to locate.

Which app caught your eye? I like the idea of the "3 Good Things" app (in the "keep your eye on these new gratitude apps" portion of the post), because even I could find just a few minutes in any given day to come up with 3 Good Things that I am grateful for.

1. Awesome Colleagues!
Last week, several outstanding faculty volunteered their time & energy to take part in our Digital Learning Day: "Goin' Google!" session.

2. Free Stuff!
Get a copy of the Digital Learning Day slides - there's lots of information from colleagues, but we've also included links to sources for free presentation slide templates, free jamboard ideas, free escape room resources, and more!

3. Not Being Killed by Your Cat!
In spite of the fact that the "Your Cat is Trying to Kill You" app predicts that there is a 95% chance that my 7-pound ninja cat is trying to kill me, I am still alive!

DON'T FORGET - if you have other questions about Teaching, Learning, and/or Assessment, contact the CTLA! To submit a request for assistance: https://ctla.cgc.edu/help.html

HAPPY TUESDAY, EVERYONE!
