Follow-up to "pass/fail, or letter grade?"

I received the following question earlier today about one of last week's posts ("Pass/Fail, or Letter Grade?"), and I thought that it was a really important concern to address:
"Quick question about this if you don't mind. I followed the instructions for the Google sheet no problem. Once I made it fit my classes, I clicked send and did that for each of my five class sections. I did it this way instead of a copy and paste into my Canvas classes because my daughter looked at it and questioned whether or not students would see each other's responses if I put it on my Canvas classes. Not sure what made her think this for Canvas and not for an email. Is that a concern?"
The answer, as with most things, is that there is a setting for this, as long as you know where to look!
When I set the form up that I shared with all of you, I prohibited the ability for respondents to see the data that you see, but you can go in and double-check the setting for it - in the form editing mode, go to the settings (the gear icon) in the top right portion of your screen:

Then under the "General" tab, you can look under "Respondents can" and make sure that the box that says "see summary charts and text responses" is UNCHECKED (in my copy, I did actually check the box just above that, which allows students to edit their response after submitting, just in case they changed their minds):
