Recorded Friday 11/13/2020 (with parts of 11/12/2020 spliced in) in the Chandler-Gilbert Community College virtual environment with CGCC faculty and staff. In "Key Things for Faculty to Know About Fields of Interests (FOIs) and Opportunities for Faculty Engagement with FOIs," Student Affairs staff and faculty presented information about the FOI framework and the specific FOIs academic disciplines connect to which will help faculty point students to FOI resources. Information about how Analysts (advisors) and Peer Mentors help students get in a FOI and program of study and strategies being used to assist them along the way was also shared. Faculty presented how to participate in a FOI Canvas course to connect to students, how to be part of the FOI team, and how a discipline can connect to other FOIs through contextualized General Education courses.
