BASE CAMP - TWO OFFERINGS SUM23

 Base Camp: Essentials for Instruction in Multiple Modalities is designed to familiarize faculty with the basic tools and skills that lead to teaching success, regardless of the modality of instruction. Base Camp is the first step for faculty in mastering the mountain that is true, high-quality instruction. ​After successful completion of the online and live portions of the workshop, first-time participants can receive 16 hours of Faculty Professional Growth or 16 hours of Adjunct Faculty Tier Progression Credit.

Format
  • Base Camp utilizes a Hybrid, Live-Online format.
  • Engage in live-online sessions via Webex daily for a half-hour opening session and a half-hour closing session.
  • Between the live-online sessions participants will work asynchronously in the Base Camp Headquarters Canvas course and in their Base Camp Developmental Shell.

Hybrid Summit - TWO OFFERINGS SUM23

Hybrid Summit is designed to provide participants with the resources and strategies to begin planning (or revising) a successful hybrid course. The Hybrid Summit workshop focuses on best practices for teaching hybrid courses with maximum effectiveness. After successful completion of the online and live portions of the workshop, first-time participants can receive 9 hours of Faculty Professional Growth or 9 hours of Adjunct Faculty Tier Progression Credit.

Format
  • Hybrid Summit utilizes an in-person hybrid format.
  • The Hybrid Summit Canvas course will open one week prior to the in-person session.
  • Complete 3-hours of pre-work asynchronously prior to attending one of the 3-hour in-person sessions.
  • Attend a 3-hour in-person session at CGCC - Pecos Campus.
  • Complete the remainder 3-hours of asynchronous activities in Canvas with all materials and submissions due one week after the in-person session.

ACCESSIBILITY PEAK - TWO OFFERINGS SUM23

Accessibility Peak is designed to give participants the tools and knowledge needed to design engaging, effective, and accessible courses for ALL students using the features of Canvas. ​After successful completion of the online and live portions of the workshop, first-time participants can receive 28 hours of Faculty Professional Growth or 28 hours of Adjunct Faculty Tier Progression Credit.

Format
  • Accessibility Peak utilizes a virtual hybrid format.
  • The Accessibility Peak course will open on the first meeting date.
  • Engage in live-online sessions via Webex every Thursday for 5 weeks.
  • Between the live-online sessions participants will work asynchronously in the Canvas course.
  • All materials and submissions due by the final meeting date.

Implementing Indigeneity Workshop Series

This series of workshops provide a holistic experience about the navigational journey of Indigenous students in higher education in terms of equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Their journey includes topics and issues such as colonial entanglement and de-colonization that speak on the current forms of tribal and inter-tribal governments (e.g., as trustees/stakeholders of education) and the contemporary positionality of intertribal narratives on higher education.
