Hybrid Summit

Hybrid Summit: Teaching in the Hybrid Modality
Back to Workshops Page

Hybrid Summit is not currently being offered. Please reach out to the CTLA for a consultation on teaching in the hybrid environment and explore our site for resources.

Hybrid Summit is designed to provide participants with the resources and strategies to begin planning (or revising) a successful hybrid course, creating an optimal structure for student learning in the hybrid modality.

The Hybrid Summit Workshop consists of one in-person session (3 hours) as well as asynchronous content to be completed in Canvas. For first-time participants, Hybrid Summit is approved for 9 hours of Faculty Professional Growth and 9 hours of Adjunct Faculty Tier Progression Credit.

Hybrid Summit Format

The format of the workshop models a hybrid course. The Hybrid Summit Canvas course will open previous to the in-person session. Participants are expected to complete 3-hours of asynchronous pre-work within this Canvas course prior to attending an in-person session. The live in-person portion of Hybrid Summit will be a 3-hour session attended on campus by participants. Following the in-person session, participants will complete the remainder 3-hours of asynchronous activities in Canvas. Hybrid Summit is divided into three modules: pre-planning for your hybrid course, mapping out your hybrid course, and communicating the details to students.

Pre-Planning for Your Hybrid Course
