Review Your Concourse Syllabus Before Submitting

Before submitting your Concourse syllabus for review, use the Concourse Syllabus Quick Checklist for Faculty to confirm that your syllabus is complete, accurate, and ready for students.

The checklist walks you through the main syllabus sections that often require review, including meeting times, instructional contact hours, contact information, communication expectations, materials, grading, attendance, major assignments, and the course calendar.

As you review your syllabus, pay close attention to:

  • Removing placeholder text and default template language
  • Verifying that meeting times, location, modality, and materials match SIS
  • Adding course-specific instructional contact hour information
  • Tailoring communication, attendance, grading, and late work policies
  • Removing sections that do not apply to your course
  • Selecting or removing the optional Generative AI statement
  • Confirming that duplicate or outdated information has been removed

When your syllabus is complete, use Audit in Concourse to update the status to Submitted for Review.
