The ASU Image Accessibility Creator is a helpful tool for making course images more accessible. Faculty can upload an image and use the tool to generate draft alt text, longer image descriptions, and extracted text from slides or images that may not be accessible to students using assistive technologies. After selecting Create Image Details, the generated content appears on the right side of the screen and can be refined by adding additional context through the Add Details option. This tool can support faculty as they create more inclusive course materials, but the generated descriptions should still be reviewed for accuracy, instructional relevance, and appropriate level of detail before being added to Canvas or other course content.
