Did you know that he Writing Center provides valuable resources for you and your students? They will arrange to make an instructional visit to your classroom in-person, work with you to schedule a time for you to bring them to the Center, or coordinate a virtual Writing Center orientation. They also have created a Writing Tutoring resource page that you can include in your Canvas courses. The page has a direct link to online tutoring, making it very convenient for students.
The Instructure Community has step-by-step instructions for importing commons resources into your course, and you can access the page, by searching the Canvas Commons. Once you have logged into Canvas, click on the "Commons" button in your Canvas global navigation and once on the "Commons" page, search for “All About Writing Tutoring Fall 2021” by Shannon Lujan.

Would you like to have tutoring tailored to the specific assignments in your course? The Writing Center tutors can do that! Just email them a copy of your assignment instructions, grading rubric, and its due date so that they can plan ahead.

Do you want to make a visit to the Writing Center a requirement of one of your assignments? The Writing Center can help with that too! Just have your students print out and bring the attached Tutoring Action Plan with them when they visit.
