Need a little help preparing your Spring 2022 calendar? We've got you covered!

This past summer, as part of the Hybrid Summit training, participants invested time into mapping out their course calendars so that students would have a clear understanding & expectation of the path that they would follow over the semester.

For those who were interested during the Summit, we provided a variety of blank calendar templates for their use - now we would like to share these resources with all of you! While the samples that we have provided came from Hybrid courses, the templates can certainly be modified to fit your teaching modality.
Schedule Sample/Template #1
This sample from Principles of Microeconomics was originally created in Excel, then saved as a PDF.
Picture
The primary advantage to laying out the schedule in Excel is that you can use formulas such that all you need to enter is the starting date for the new semester, and the remainder of the dates will auto-populate!
  • Sample Schedule: ECN212 - Spring 2020/Tuesday
  • Excel Schedule Template (Spring)
Schedule Sample/Template #2
This Childhood Development sample is a Google doc, rather than a spreadsheet; this makes it easy to edit.

You can see that the schedule is color-coded so that students can easily distinguish the different course components.
  • Sample Schedule: CFS176 (Fall2013/Tuesday)
  • Google Doc Schedule Template (Spring)
PSSST! Hot off the presses...
Now you can find ALL of the resources from the Hybrid Summit sessions (many of which are useful in multiple modalities, not just hybrid courses) on the CTLA website!

This includes:
  • Additional sample schedules/templates
  • Teaching reflection documents to help you plan any split-modality course
  • Teaching tools (and support resources) that work across multiple modalities
  • Recommendations for video creation tools, with samples, pros/cons, and tutorials
  • Recommendations for infographic creation tools, with samples, pros/cons, and tutorials
  • and more!!!
