Minimizing Uncivil Behaviors in the Classroom

Have you ever experienced uncivil (disrespectful) behavior/actions from a student? Have there been times that you, as an instructor, have been uncivil to a student? Within this workshop, we will discuss what incivility behavior may look like from students and from instructors. This will include overt behaviors and less noticeable uncivil behaviors. Also, we will discuss ways that we can be proactive and combat this type of behavior within this classroom environment.
